To share or send this file to a friend, press and hold on the compressed file and select Share. By default, compressed files on iOS 13 are in .zip format.

How to Preview a Zip File on iPhone/iPad

If you want to preview the contents of a zip file before extracting it, follow these steps.

Tap and hold on the zip file you want to see, then tap Quick Look.

When Quick Look is selected, you can see the file size and the number of files contained in the zip file.

Tap “Preview Content” to see all the files on the full screen.

The Quick Look feature for compressed files only works with iOS 13, older versions do not have this feature, and it works similar to Quick Look on macOS and you can view all file content without extract them to file folder.
